This policy explains what information Car Worldia (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, how we use it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
Information you give us
- Account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider — we can’t see them.
- Profile: an optional display name, profile photo, ZIP code, city and state.
- Listings: vehicle details, photos, price and location (ZIP) for cars you post.
- Messages, offers and quotes you send or receive through the site.
- Service requests: the job description and details you enter (for example tire size, a license plate or a phone number if you choose to give one).
- Partner applications: for repair shops — business name, phone, service area and description; for dealers — legal business name, dealer license number and state, business address and phone.
- Reports you file about listings, users or messages.
Information collected automatically
- Cookies and local storage: a sign-in session cookie to keep you logged in, and a language preference. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting providers receive your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and keep standard logs for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To run the marketplace: show your listings, deliver messages and offers, match service requests with nearby shops, and calculate distances from ZIP codes.
- To review repair-shop and dealer applications before approving them.
- To keep the site safe: investigate reports, prevent fraud and spam, and suspend accounts that break our Terms.
- To contact you about your account, for example sign-in emails or important changes to these policies.
What other users can see
- Your listings (including photos, price and general location) are public while they are active.
- People you message or trade with see your display name and profile photo — not your email address or phone number.
- A repair shop’s phone number is shown to a customer only after that customer accepts the shop’s quote.
- Wholesale listings are visible only to approved dealers.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Supabase — sign-in, database and photo storage.
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
- Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address when fonts download.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. Listings you remove are hidden from the site; messages are kept so both people in a conversation can still see them. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information unless we need to keep it to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
Your choices and rights
- You can edit your profile, photo and listings at any time from your Account page.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We’ll respond within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights; we honor them for all users.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access in our database is restricted row by row so each person can only read and change what they are allowed to. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Car Worldia is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know on the site or by email.
